FG announces Mauritius scholarship applications for Nigerian students | Headline News

The Federal Government announced on Tuesday that Nigerian students can apply for scholarships in Mauritius from now until the deadline is April 19, 2024.

The Federal Ministry of Education made this announcement in a statement signed by the management of the Federal Scholarship Commission.

“The Mauritius Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is inviting applications from eligible undergraduate and postgraduate Nigerian students for the 2024 academic year,” it said.

“The application form is available at the following website and must be completed electronically, printed and signed; or

“All applicants must have applied for at least one full-time, on-campus program at their chosen public higher education institution (HEI) (listed in Section 8).”

Applicants are instructed to obtain a conditional offer (letter of admission) from their chosen Mauritian public higher education institution and accept this along with their scholarship application.

You will also need to submit an approval letter from your Mauritian public higher education institution stating that your application for the seat has been made and the appropriate application fee has been paid.

“All candidates must submit a fully completed application and documents listed in sections 1-6 as part of the application to the Federal Scholarship Commission, Abuja by April 19, 2024. I have to.”

In terms of eligibility criteria, candidates must be Nigerians and undergraduate students must be at least 18 years of age and have not reached their 26th birthday by January 1, 2025.

For postgraduate degrees, candidates must not have reached their 40th birthday by January 1, 2025, while a health certificate from a recognized government hospital is important.

The Federal Scholarship Commission administrator added, “The WAEC results for the undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs are good, with a minimum of grade 2 (2.1).”
