FCT: “I saved N110b in 3 months” - Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said that he has saved as much as N11 billion for the FCT in his three months in office.

Wike said this on Tuesday when he met with real estate developers and resident associations at the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja.

Mr Wike spoke of the prudence he adopted in financial management as FCT Minister, noting that the funds would be attached to projects to hasten their completion.

“In my three months in office, I can say with authority that we have saved over NOK 110 billion for the FCT, and this money is being spent on national interest with the taxes we pay. “It’s going to be spent on projects where people can actually understand that,” he said.

The former Rivers State governor went on to reveal that the Federal Capital Territory plans to roll out a bus and taxi scheme within the next one month.
