EPL: One of the most intelligent players - Arteta praises Arsenal midfielder

FA Cup: Arteta makes demands ahead of Arsenal vs. Liverpool match

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on fans to make the Emirates Stadium more hostile than Anfield ahead of Liverpool's FA Cup visit on Sunday.

The Gunners will host Jurgen Klopp's side in the third round of the competition, 13 days after the sides ended in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Merseyside.

The match was played in a frenzied atmosphere after Klopp urged Liverpool supporters to “give your tickets to someone else” if they were not prepared to support their team enthusiastically.

Asked on Friday whether there could be a similar intimidating element at Emirates Stadium, Arteta replied: “It will be our own.” We are really happy with the atmosphere we have created with Emirates. It was really supportive.

“Can we tweak it and make it even more hostile? I think we can. In my opinion, that's the next step. We have to be very grateful for what we were able to accomplish on our home turf.” It has to be. Sunday will be another big one.”
