The African Information and Communication Technology Alliance (AfICTA) elected Ms. Ulandi Exner as the first female president of the African private sector-led technology organization at its just-concluded annual general meeting held virtually.
AfICTA is a private sector-led association of ICT associations, multinationals, businesses, organizations and individuals in the ICT sector in Africa. AfICTA is dedicated to delivering on the promise of the digital age for all Africans.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Ms Exner said: “I am honored and excited to lead AfICTA as its first female President. I would like to thank Past President Thabo Mashegoan for her dedicated service and commendable leadership. I look forward to working with AfICTA members to take the organization to new heights and contribute to the advancement of technology across the continent.”
Exner, who replaced Thabo Mashegoane, also serves as vice chair for Southern Africa.
Exner is an experienced information and communications technology professional with a strong background in cybersecurity, IT risk, and IT governance.
As AfICTA’s new Chair, she brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach to lead the organization into a new era of innovation and growth. With extensive technology experience and a proven track record as a leader, Mr. Exner is expected to lead AfICTA into a new era of innovation and growth.
