EPL: Why Arsenal can’t win the title ahead of Man City – Carragher

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has claimed Arsenal will never win the Premier League if they rely too much on narrow wins.

Carragher said this while reflecting on the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Brentford on Monday Night Football.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit at the top of the table, one point ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

So far this season, Arsenal have won five of their nine games by one goal.

Carragher believes they need to win more convincing games to face teams like Manchester City.

“It’s only a third of the season over, but if Arsenal continue like this, if this is the Arsenal we’re going to see this season, I don’t think they can win,” he said. Ta. league.

“I think so many games are close calls and sometimes it works against me, with mistakes from (Aaron) Ramsdale and big chances that Brentford had in the second half at the weekend. You’ll remember.
