EPL: What Arteta says about Raya's two errors in the 4-3 win against Luton

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta refused to blame goalkeeper David Raya after he made two errors that led to goals in Tuesday night's 4-3 win over Luton Town.

Raya was to blame as the hosts scored two goals in eight minutes to take the lead in the second.

The on-loan Brentford stopper was taken out of position for a corner and Elijah Adebayo made it 2-2, before Ross Barkley's shot fumbled underneath to put the home side ahead.

However, Kai Havertz equalized and Declan Rice headed home the winning goal seven minutes into stoppage time.

“We have to defend the situation better as a team. There are certain things that lead to goals and it's not to blame. We have never done that and we will not do that.

Asked about Raya's play, Arteta told reporters: “It's about how the team reacts to it. I love that reaction because that's what's going to happen.”
