Wayne Rooney sacked as Birmingham City manager

EPL: Wayne Rooney hints at becoming Manchester United manager

Former Bulgarian international striker Dimitar Berbatov has suggested former teammate Wayne Rooney become Manchester United manager in the future.

Rooney was sacked by Birmingham City after just 13 weeks in charge.

The Championship club, owned by Tom Brady, is currently sitting in 20th place due to poor form.

However, despite his brutal dismissal, Berbatov supported him as manager of the Red Devils one day.

Berbatov told Betfair: “I feel sorry for him because I know he wants to be a manager and maybe one day he'll be the manager of Man United, but I'm still I continue to focus on that.”

“His time at Birmingham shows every footballer who wants to become a manager that even a big name cannot save you from dismissal.”
