EPL: Very excited – Brentford coach Thomas Frank gives update on Ivan Toney

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has revealed he is excited about striker Ivan Toney’s impending return to action as his eight-month gambling ban draws to a close.

Ivan was first suspended by the Football Association (FA) in May after admitting 232 breaches of the FA’s gambling regulations.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of Brentford’s Premier League game against Arsenal this weekend, Frank revealed the 27-year-old is itching to move on, but is unsure of his long-term future with the club. He said he refused to be involved in any questions about the matter. .

“We’re very excited to have him close to the team and back to the team. He’s been training with us.

“It was good for all of us, but especially for Ivan (Tony).

“I know his focus is to come back and give it his all. I’m looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, Toney is rumored to be linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in the January transfer window.
