EPL: The referee will be disappointed if he plays Man City against Tottenham – Guardiola

Manchester City supervisor Josep Guardiola has claimed that referee Simon Hooper would have been “disappointed” had he performed for the Premier League champions in Sunday’s 3-3 draw with Tottenham.

Hooper halted City’s assault with a foul on Erling Haaland, and Jack Grealish controversially scored.

His choice prompted an indignant response from Haaland and his teammates, who noticed it as an opportunity to make it 4-3 late within the recreation.

Haaland was seen wanting irritated on his method to the dressing room after the match.

Asked concerning the Norwegian’s response, Guardiola mentioned: “It’s normal. If the referee was playing for Man City today, he would have been disappointed too.”
