EPL: Ten Hag falls out with Manchester United star

The relationship between Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and defender Raphael Varane has been “frank” between the pair following the Dutch manager’s decision to exclude the former Real Madrid star from the Manchester derby. After that, it went bankrupt.

Varane has lost his place as a regular starter under manager Ten Hag this season, with the Red Devils manager wanting to play alongside Jonny Evans despite an injury to Lisandro Martinez.

Varane was due to start in the Manchester derby, but was dropped to the bench in favor of Evans.

According to the Daily Mail, this was the final straw for the former France international, who made it clear to Ten Hag how angry he was.

Despite Evans’ injury, Varane has made just three substitute appearances since Derby.

As a result, the 30-year-old has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in January.

Varane joined Man United in 2021 from Spanish La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag had a falling out with Jadon Sancho, who is due to leave the club next year.
