EPL: Michael Owen puts big question mark over Arsenal's January transfer targets

Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has expressed doubts about Arsenal target Ivan Toney.

Owen had major doubts about Toney's offensive ability to improve on his current level.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the England international, who currently plays for Premier League rivals Brentford.

Speaking about Tony's recent relationship with Arsenal during the January transfer window, Owen told Premier League Productions:

“I think at some point it has to be a priority for them. If that opportunity comes now, then yes, let's grab it. The next question is, 'Yes, who's going to make it better? ?”is. Who will that man be? ' Her relationship with Tony has been going on for several months now.

“His numbers are very good. But he gets so many penalties. You said about 60% of his goals are from penalties, which is a lot. .”

Owen added: He's a very, very good player. But for him to be a centre-forward for Arsenal aiming for the Premier League…I just got three names earlier.

“We're talking about the best strikers of all time these days. World-class players. Is he at that level? That's a big question mark.”

“He did that at Brentford, but whether he can improve his game at Arsenal is another matter.”
