EPL: Great cross – Havertz praises Arsenal team-mates after recent win

EPL: He is not effective in the position given to him by Arteta – Mustoe criticizes Arsenal star

Former Middlesbrough midfielder Robbie Mutoh has criticized Kai Havertz, saying the versatile forward is not effective in the midfield role he plays under manager Mikel Arteta.

This comes after Arsenal's recent shock 2-1 defeat against Fulham in the Premier League.

Havertz has scored three goals in the last seven Premier League games for Arteta's side, but failed to make an impact against Fulham.

Significantly, the German international was unable to register a single shot on goal during the match, nor was he able to complete a single dribble.

“Kai Havertz's struggles continue, but this is the situation. He is not effective, he is not doing anything,” Mustoe said on a recent episode of The 2 Lobbies.

“We talked about running around Jesus and starting him on the bench so he could add goals and be effective, but this wasn't the case.”
