EPL: Guardiola names two Man City players after 1-1 draw with Liverpool
Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola praised Manuel Akanji and Rodri after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Erling Haaland’s goal in the 27th minute put the Premier League champions ahead.
City looked set to record their 24th win in 24 competitive home games, but Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late equalizer meant they shared the points.
“We only allowed two chances against that team.
“The way we built up, the way Manuel Akanji and Rodri played in incredible space was really, really good. The way we defended set pieces, everything was of a really high standard.
“It was really good. They’re happy, but we’re a little less happy. This is football. I’m really happy. I’m very proud of my team,” Guardiola said.
