EPL: Bad days will come, Man City have been relegated before – Guardiola

EPL: Chelsea star explains Guardiola's role in move to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has rushed to explain Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola's role in his move to Stamford Bridge.

Silva said he decided to move to the Premier League despite being initially held back because Gauldiola had changed the game in England.

The Brazilian told ESPN (quoted by Metro): He never imagined he would one day play in the Premier League. With all due respect, that was football I hated.

“I thought there were a lot of aerial balls, so stand here and fight there.'' I'm good in the air and I'm very adaptable, but I didn't really like it. I thought I couldn't play here.''

He continued: “I think one of the people responsible for this change is Pep Guardiola, right? He plays more. Others don't try to imitate, but they want to play more. Because it's beautiful soccer.

“And from that moment I was interested. I was watching more at home. The proposal from Chelsea came and I had no hesitation.”
