UCL: Arteta confirms new injury ahead of lens collision

EPL: Arteta eyes three new Arsenal signings this January

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is considering three players in the January transfer window.

Arteta is hoping to reinvigorate his sluggish Premier League title challenge.

On Christmas Day, the Gunners were top of the Premier League table, but a series of defeats left them in fourth place, just one point behind north London rivals Tottenham.

Arsenal have particularly struggled to find goals, with at least one player in 12 teams scoring more than Gunners' top scorer Bukayo Saka.

According to the Times, Arteta wants to bring in a new forward as one of three areas the Spaniard wants to work on.

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Brentford's Ivany Toney, but it seems unlikely they will be in a position to spend a lot of money this month.

The Bees are expected to demand more than £80 million for Toney, who is expected to return from his suspension within two weeks.

Victor Osimhen is another player Arteta is keeping an eye on, but his price is high and a deal may not be completed this month, while Feyenoord's Santiago Jimenez is also attracting attention.

As well as a new forward, Arteta also wants to sign a full-back and a holding midfielder.
