Enyimba assistant coach Olanrewaju Yemi said the team’s win against Heartland was important.
On Saturday, People’s Elephant defeated Naze Millionaires 1-0 at Dan Anyam Stadium.
Stephen Chukwudi scored the only goal of the match for the away team.
Yemi said the team will continue to improve its performance as the season progresses.
“Very important point on the road,” he wrote on the X-handle.
“We will continue to work hard for the next match against Sunshine Stars in Aba.”
Enyimba will next host Sunshine Stars at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba.
