'Emeka Ike hit me when my child was sick' ex-wife Suzanne Emma says
Nollywood actor Emeka Ike’s estranged wife Suzanne Emma has refuted her ex-husband’s recent claims that his domestic violence allegations were false and caused him great harm.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Emma claimed that she was abused by Ike throughout their 17 years of marriage. She recounted her specific incident at the hospital when her child became seriously ill, and described how Ike verbally berated her and physically assaulted her.
“We once went to the hospital. My child was sick. We had no money. And I negotiated with the hospital to treat my child and the payment was later. I was trying to do that. After a while, he (Emeka Ike) came in and started yelling at me, “You're an idiot.'' you don't know how to do things. What on earth is this? I can't even talk to them. who are they? They are beneath you and you allow them to do this and that. ”
“And I got angry and said, 'Sir, why are you doing something disgusting?' And I got in the car to sit down. Soon he (Emeka Ike) was in the car. The first thing I saw was his punch in my jaw.”
DAILY POST recalls that the Lagos Island Customary Court dissolved the marriage of Emeka Ike and his wife in 2017 over incessant battery. Emma went to court on July 13, 2015, seeking the dissolution of her 14-year marriage to the Nollywood actor.
