The Inspector General of Customs, Katsina Area Command, Mohammed Umar, has urged sister security agencies to adopt strategic management in their day-to-day operations for sustained success.

Speaking at a seminar organized by the Nigeria Customs Katsina Regional Command in collaboration with the Strategic Management Institute of Nigeria (ISMN) in the Katsina state capital on Tuesday, Mr. Umar spoke on the vision, mission and core values ​​in achieving organizational goals. He emphasized the importance of perspective. .

Mr. Umar emphasized the need to collaborate with institutions like ISMN to integrate advanced methodologies into the operational framework of security agencies.

He said: “I am keenly aware that strategic management plays a vital role in the success and sustainability of any organization, whether in the public or private sector. Strategic management involves analyzing the environment, It involves the process of identifying opportunities and mitigating risks. Therefore, in an ever-changing world, the ability to adapt to new challenges and exploit new opportunities is critical.”

On behalf of the Katsina State Governor, Malam Umar Dikko Radda, who contributed to the discussion, the Katsina State Secretary for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasiru Muazu Danmusa, spoke on the importance of strategic management to address global and national challenges. He emphasized the urgency.

Mr. Danmusa emphasized the importance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SWOT analysis and urged attendees to apply the knowledge gained at the seminar to drive progress in Nigeria.
