Easter: Police deploy operatives to ensure safety of Delta residents

The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has assured residents of the heavy deployment of police personnel across the state to ensure the smooth running of Easter celebrations.

CP directs all area commanders, divisional police officers and commanders of various tactical teams to increase awareness across the state to prevent, fight and counter crime during the holiday period and beyond did.

Mr Olufemi said the police would focus on special crime awareness and prevention activities as well as target common crimes at the celebration.

He further advised the public to be vigilant during the Easter period, abide by the law, cooperate actively with surrounding security and assist the police in the fight against crime.

The command has developed additional deployments from tactical teams including the Ministry of Operations, Dragon Patrol, RRS, CP-Decoys, Raiders Squad, Safe Delta, Safer Highway Patrol, Eagle Net Special Squad, Crack Squad, and Special Anti. -Kidnapping and Cybercrime Task Force. Personnel will also be sent to worship centers and resort centers.

Olufemi said the command would intensify its anti-crime operations during the Easter period and beyond. Therefore, all personnel will be deployed in full force and in close coordination with other sister agencies to ensure the safety of the good and peace-loving residents of the state.

On behalf of the officers and men of the command, he wished Delta residents and Nigerians a safe Easter celebration.
