Dismantling Lagos: Consider relocating your investments from the southeast, Ohanaeze, to Ibos Island.
The apex socio-cultural organization of the Igbo people, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has urged Igbo people living in Lagos State to consider relocating their investments to the South East.
Mr Ohanaeze said cities such as Aba, Abakiriki and Onitsha had immense growth potential. Therefore, Igbo people should consider investing in these areas.
A statement by Okechukwu Ishiguzoro, secretary-general of the Ohanaeze faction, reads in part:
“Vibrant cities such as Aba, Abakiliki and Onitsha have immense potential for growth and development. Investing in these areas and building international markets will only benefit the Igbo people. In addition, we can create a prosperous economic hub that will also contribute to the development of Nigeria as a whole.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on all Igbo people of Lagos to unite and support each other in these difficult times. Together we will overcome these difficulties and take care of ourselves and the future. We can build a bright future for generations.”
