Democracy Dividend: FG to Partner Countries – Minister

The Federal Government has expressed its determination to work with state governments to bring the benefits of democracy to Nigerians.
The Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, disclosed this on Friday when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Yola.
He visited dams and other irrigation facilities in the state and said Adamawa is very endowed with human and natural resources.
“I would like to assure you that the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation is ready to work with your states and other states in the federation.
“President Bola Tinubu’s eight-point agenda, especially food security, is very important because without hunger we cannot achieve peace and security in Nigeria.
“So we believe we have a lot of work to do. River basins are a real tool to achieve food security and we have a lot of arable land,” Goronyo said. Ta.
According to him, if fully utilized, it will solve many problems, especially the creation of employment opportunities.
In response, Mr. Fintiri pledged to work with the Ministry to maximize the benefits of the Ministry’s mission.
He said the state government is in talks with investors and other manufacturers on how to leverage available water in the state in public-private partnerships.
Mr. Fintiri also praised the federal government for its commitment to an open definition in the country.
“On the health side, we will work together to make sure we are devoting resources.If we don’t take care of open defecation, no matter what we do in the health sector, we are doing nothing. That’s why.”
“And most of the airborne diseases are surrounded by outdoor waste, so we are not free from all diseases,” he said.
