Court of Appeal President Judge Monica Dongvan-Mensem appealed to politicians to stop putting undue pressure on the judiciary when deciding political issues.

“Learned judges involved in such appeals are not notified of the docket until the hearing approaches. This not only protects their Lordships from undue pressure, but also from unwarranted threats against their individuals. Protect.
“In addition to this, it demonstrates my determination to see that justice is not only done, but done without fear or favor, love or malice.”
Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice Lateef Fajemi (SAN), in his remarks, said the malfunctioning of the judicial system was due to lack of cooperation among stakeholders.
