Christmas: FRSC warns passengers against night travel

Collision: FRSC reiterates its determination to continue its anti-speeding campaign in 2024

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun Command, has said it is committed to continuing its intensive campaign against speeding to curb road accidents in 2024.

Speaking in Ota on Wednesday, the Ogun District Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Anthony Ugah, said speed was one of the leading causes of death along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and across the state.

Mr Uggah appealed to motorists to drive according to the current rules that protect the FRSC to minimize tragedies in 2024.

“We will continue to carry out mobile speed enforcement patrols and will also maintain incoming traffic using red flags.

“The FRSC will also continue its crackdown to ensure that unrepentant motorists face the wrath of the law through intensive booking and thorough public sensitization,” he said.

Mr. Uga echoed the need to put more effort into business to stem the tide of road accidents in the state.

He added that awareness programs would also be extended to churches and mosques to educate the public.
