Chief Justice Zamfara releases 30 prison inmates
Zamfara State Chief Justice Justice Kuru Aliyu granted unconditional amnesty to 30 prisoners.
Justice Aliyu warned the pardoned convicts to desist from all forms of crime to be useful in society.
The prisoners were released at Gusau Central Correctional Center.
The released inmates include death row inmates, as well as inmates convicted of various crimes and inmates awaiting trial.
The state’s head of litigation, barrister Aisha Jibril, said the presiding judge had warned the pardoned prisoners to change their characteristics.
