Chelsea players are punctual – Matic reveals two Manchester United stars are always late for training

Former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has revealed that his players, particularly Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho, have been arriving late to club training “almost every day”.

Matic also revealed that Chelsea players are always punctual while at Stamford Bridge.

He said Man United players were furious at Pogba and Sancho's frequent tardiness, adding that he was chairman of an “internal disciplinary committee” during their time at Old Trafford.

“At Chelsea the players behaved professionally, were punctual and were never late for training, whereas at United it happened almost every day,” Matic told YouPlanet.

“Some of the players who were always late were Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and a few others.

“The rest of us, who were always punctual, were angry, so we decided to set up something like an internal disciplinary committee, with me chairing it.”

Matic, who currently plays for Ligue 1 side Rennes, joined Man United from Chelsea in a £40m deal in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
