AFCON: "He's the talk of the tournament" - Obi Mikel praises Super Eagles star

Champions League quarter-finals: Mikel Obi gives two teams tips on how to reach the final

Former Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel has hinted that Manchester City and Arsenal could reach the final of this year's Champions League.

Obi Mikel appeared as a guest at Friday's quarter-final draw and picked up the ball.

This draw will be the last in the current format.

Starting next season, the Champions League will be played with 36 teams.

Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, while Manchester City will face Real Madrid in the last eight.

When asked before the draw which teams would make it to the final, Mikel said: “The final will be held at Wembley, England, so I would like to see an English club make it to the final.

“I hope Manchester City or Arsenal win.”

Mikel Obi is one of the few Nigerian footballers to have won the Champions League trophy, along with Finidi George and Kanu Nwankwo.
