CAF Confederation Cup: Why Rivers United lost to Dreams FC — Ekuma

Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma, has revealed the reasons behind his team's defeat against Ghana's Dreams FC.

Pride of Rivers lost 2-1 to the Ghanaians in matchday two of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Baba Yala Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

John Antwi gave Dreams FC the lead in the 35th minute, and Abdul Aziz Isa added another 15 minutes later.

Alex Oyowa closed the gap deep in second-half stoppage time.

“They (Dream FC) had their chances, especially in the first half, and they converted them.

Coach Ekuma told reporters after the match, “We had a lot of chances in the second half, but unfortunately we couldn't convert them.''

“That was the biggest undo for us today. I think we've got to go back and work on those areas and come back stronger next game.”

Rivers United will play Club Africaine in their next match.
