The Judicial Officers Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Osun State chapter has launched an indefinite period of industrial action with immediate effect.

The strike was declared on Wednesday by the Chairman of JUSUN in the state, Oluwagbenga Olakunle Eldire.

The strike followed protests on Monday and Tuesday by Osun Jusun against the alleged mismanagement of the embattled Chief Justice of Osun, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo.

JUSUN members have also unjustly persecuted some officials, leading to the reinstatement of state judicial officers, including resumption of training and arrears of costume allowances from 2021 to 2023, suspension by Justice Adepele Ojo. They accused her of denying them rights.

“Regularization and promotion activities should be carried out without further delay.

“Also, other benefits enjoyed by JUSUN members should be implemented without delay.”

Mr. Eldia instructed all judicial employees in the state to stay away from courts and their offices and cease their duties.
