Brazil’s Felipe Melo selects Messi as one of the three best players in soccer history

Former Brazilian national team midfielder Felipe Melo has named Lionel Messi of Argentina as one of the three best players in soccer history.

Melo puts Inter Miami’s captain in the same position as the late football icons Pele and Diego Maradona.

Messi is progressing strongly for club and country, despite his 30 points being incorrect.

The 36-year-old, who led Argentina to their third World Cup victory in Qatar last year, recently won his eighth Ballon d’Or award, extending his record to 2023.

“Brazil are playing the world champions and they have Messi. For me, Messi is the best player of all time, along with Pele and Maradona,” Melo said (according to Ole).

“Messi doesn’t have the speed he had a few years ago, but his vision for the game is much better.

“Messi is still the best player in the world. It’s crazy, it’s amazing.”
