Newly appointed Heartland head coach Kennedy Boboi has vowed to help revive the club’s fortunes.
Boboi was appointed as the new head coach of Naze Daifugo on Wednesday.
The Owerri club has sacked former team handler Christian Obi following a poor start to the 2023/24 season.
Heartland is winless through nine games.
The former Nigeria Premier Football League champions are at the bottom of the table with six points.
However, Beauboye declared that he is ready to help the club move up the table.
“I’m ready for the task. When I was first contacted I had other thoughts because of the club’s position in the league standings, but given what I’ve seen on the ground I think we can get through. I’m sure of that,” Beauboye told Heartland FC Media.
“Everyone needs to put in the work. There’s going to be a new mentality in the team. The players have assured me there will be changes, so I’m excited to be here. ”
Boboye’s first game in charge of Heartland will be the Oriental derby against holders Enyinba on Saturday.
