Benue: COAS assures Governor Arya of military’s commitment to tackling security situation


The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taolied Lagbaja, has reiterated the willpower of the Nigerian Army to decisively tackle the security challenges being skilled in Benue and components of adjoining states.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, stated in an announcement that the COAS gave the reassurance when Markudi paid a courtesy name on Governor Hyacinth Aria of Benue State.

Mr. Lagbaja thanked the Benue State governor, authorities and other people for the prevailing pleasant relationship between the state and the Nigerian Army.

Prime Minister Arya, in response, extremely appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of the armed forces in sustaining peace within the nation and warranted the continued help of his administration to improve the operational effectivity of the armed forces within the safety of lives and property.
