Armed robbers kill three CBN staff members inside Abuja supermarket


On Tuesday night, suspected fearless men from the underworld attacked the popular Abdullahi supermarket in One Man Village near Mararaba, killing four customers, including an official of Nigeria's central bank, CBN. .

CBN staff identified Daniel Adefemi Okunade through his identification as having been shot in the head and died instantly.

The other three people who were brutally murdered along with him have not been identified at the time of this report.

Witnesses said the robbery lasted less than two minutes, during which time a CBN staff member, said to be the choir director of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), also located in One Man Village, was shot.

While stopping at a supermarket to buy bread for his family, robbers are said to have broken into the usually busy store and killed four customers.

His Toyota Venza, parked outside a supermarket, was never touched by the underworld men.

The late Okunade is said to have died an untimely death at the hands of suspected robbers while returning from work.

At the time of the report, the atmosphere in the area was tense as people continued to flock to the supermarket to identify the robbery victim.

Meanwhile, police personnel from New Nyayan District Police Station transferred the body of the robbery victim to the mortuary of Mararaba Medical Center in Mararaba.

Police have not yet released any information regarding the incident.

However, hundreds of sympathizers, including church members, have flocked to the home of the late CBN staff member to commiserate with the family.
