APC is very proud of the Senate President, Governor Otu

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is very proud of Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State.

He also commended the governor for leading a peaceful state administration.

“We are very proud of him (Otu),” Akpabio said while speaking at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport in Calabar.

He said he is in the state in part because he sympathizes with the governor’s many electoral and legal victories, most recently an appeals court that reaffirmed his election.

“I am also here because of the senators. The three senators from Cross River State have been very supportive of my leadership in the Senate, especially my brother, Special Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong. He will be thanking God for his children, his family, and his victory at the polls.”

Mr. Akpabio assured residents of Cross River and Akwa Ibom states that the country’s 2024 budget prioritizes addressing the precarious road infrastructure in the sister states, especially the extremely deplorable condition.

The former governor of Akwa Ibom State acknowledged that “the poor condition of the roads is affecting both states.”
