APC asks Ombugadu to forget about Supreme Court pursuit following Court of Appeal ruling

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has advised against further legal action at the Supreme Court against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate David Ombugadu.

APC Public Relations Secretary, Chief Douglas Otaru, termed the possible action a “wasted voyage” and urged Ombugadu to embrace reason.

The Court of Appeal’s unanimous judgment overturned the Electoral Tribunal’s declaration of Ombugadu as the winner.

The APC celebrated the verdict, seeing it as a testament to the people’s confidence in the current administration and Governor Sule’s commitment to progress.

The party therefore described this as a “huge victory for democracy” and confirmation that democracy would be widely accepted.

While recognizing the post-election challenges and security concerns, the APC extended an olive branch to the opposition parties and encouraged them to unite for the betterment of the state.

The party urged its supporters to celebrate responsibly and called for cooperation to bridge the political divide.

However, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rejected the ruling and began preparations to approach the Supreme Court seeking relief.
