Angry protesting women set fire to the residence of the District Chief of Bokkos Local Government Area of ​​Plateau State, Micheal Monday Adanchi.

It was gathered that the traditional ruler's house was demolished at around 12:30pm on Friday, January 5, 2024.

The women set the house on fire in response to the arrest of some community members suspected of involvement in the recent silent murders in the area.

A source told journalists that the women set fire to the traditional ruler's entire residence and administrative office.

“The problem started at the police station, where they expressed their indignation at the arrest of some members of the community. After leaving the police station, they went directly to the house of the traditional ruler, whom they allegedly accused of having betrayed them. After arriving at the house, they set it on fire,” the source said.

It was also concluded that soldiers arrived in the area and dispersed the protesting women.
