Angry mob lynches Nigerian man for allegedly stabbing two women in Ghana

A 34-year-old Nigerian man, recognized merely as Ikechukwu, was lynched by a mob in Gomoa Akotsi, Central Region, Ghana, after allegedly stabbing two women.

According to eyewitnesses, Ikechukwu, popularly generally known as ‘Nose Mask’, allegedly stabbed a younger lady at his residence and spilled the intestines of one other when he was confronted by residents in the primary act.

Residents stated the Nigerian man has been renting a room in the home for the previous 11 months and so they suspect he’s concerned in some non secular practices that could possibly be the explanation for his actions.

An eyewitness narrated the incident to journalists current on the scene on Tuesday, November 29, 2023.

“We found the woman in a pool of blood and called a taxi to pick her up in Winneba, so we asked who did it and the girls in the house knew it was the Nigerian. He started throwing stones the moment he saw us and locked the door, so we forced it and broke it in,” the witness narrated.

“He was wielding a meat cleaver when we entered, then stabbed the first lady who entered and removed her intestines. Everyone was scared, so I was the only person who fought him to get the knife back,”

“The first victim is a woman with whom he lives in the same house and the second lady is from Akoti. When he made the first one and saw us coming, that’s when he started throwing stones. Your landlord will determine whether it is correct or not.”

The two victims had been rushed to the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital for remedy whereas the Gomoa Ojobi police transported the physique of the deceased to the police mortuary for preservation.
