AGF Fagbemi will bring desired reforms to the judicial sector – Ilorin, Emirate


The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has expressed confidence that the Attorney General of the Federation AGF and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) will bring about the desired reforms in the judicial sector.

The former Court of Appeal Chief Justice expressed his optimism when Fagbemi paid him a courtesy visit to his palace in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Tuesday, according to a statement by the AGF’s Special Assistant on Communication and Publicity, Kamaludeen Ogundele. That's what it means.

Gambari described the AGF as the pride of Kwara and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing him as the Chief Legal Officer of the federation which could revitalize the judicial sector.

The king said he has known Fagbemi for over 30 years since his days on the bench and is confident that he will uphold the ideals of justice and the fight against corruption.

He also described Fagbemi as a philanthropist and legal icon who had made significant contributions to jurisprudence.

The Chief Minister called on stakeholders in the judicial sector to work as a team with the AGF to bring about desirable developments in the judicial sector for the benefit of the entire nation.
