AFCSC conducts military exercises, asks residents to stay home
The Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, Kaduna State, has announced that it will conduct a field training exercise called “Ubiaku Isin” for students enrolled in Junior Course 96.
According to the agency’s spokesperson, Major Umaru Adamu, the exercise is scheduled to be held from December 1 to 6 at Usono, Anguwan Loya and Camp Saraya general areas in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
“During this period, there will be large-scale movement of military personnel and equipment into and out of the exercise range,” Adamu said in a statement released to the press in Kaduna on Tuesday.
He warned residents living near the range to remain calm and not panic if they see troops or equipment moving or hear the sounds of explosives or small guns.
He appealed to residents to stay away from the exercise area during the period, although all necessary precautions had been taken to ensure general security and safety in the area.
