AFCSC Commander Reiterates FG’s Commitment to Easing the Burden on Nigerians
The Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, AVM Hassan Alhaji, has said the Federal Government is committed to relieving Nigerians of the daily burdens caused by the current economic crisis.
Alhaji spoke to reporters after a field exercise named “Exercise Ubiak Isin” for participants of Junior Course 96.
The exercise included the distribution of free medical aid and palliatives to the host population of Jaji military garrison.
AFCSC holds Ubiak-Isin, a twice-yearly exercise to examine student understanding of counterterrorism and counterinsurgency.
Professor Alhaji said the university was concerned about the well-being of Aboriginal people on military encampments and called for the university to regularly fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
He described the Jaji military garrison as a “huge part” of Kaduna state, and said the medical evacuation and distribution of palliatives to host towns was aimed at letting residents know the university was there for them. he added.
The commander said the exercise was aimed at helping participants mobilize their knowledge to develop better officers.
