AFCON: Mohamed Salah reveals what will happen to Egypt without him

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that his country's national team will be fine without him during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

The Liverpool ace spoke after leading Jurgen Klopp's side to a 4-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night.

Remember that Salah scored twice against Newcastle to give his team all three points at Anfield.

The game was Salah's last for Liverpool as he prepares to join the Egyptian squad for the 2023 AFCON.

Salah told Sky Sports after Liverpool beat Newcastle: We have the best talent. They just need to work hard.

“Going to AFCON? I want to win! I love playing for my country. They'll be fine without me. We have great players.”

Egypt is in Group B of AFCON along with Ghana, Mozambique and Cape Verde.
