Following the Court of Appeal judgment on the Ogun State governorship election handed down in Lagos on Friday, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oladipo Adebutu, has expressed hope of reclaiming the mandate of the good people of the state as planned. . his legal battle to the Supreme Court;

But in the end, the truth will prevail and the will of the people will be recognized, he said, urging the people of the state to remain resolute.

He also called on all the good people and stakeholders of Ogun State to praise Justice Jane Inyang as an example of true justice and pray for more such courageous judges.

Yesterday, in a statement, Mr. Afolabi Orekoya, Media Director of the Ladi Adebutu Movement Organization, said the appeal decision could be seen as a path to victory as the case was resolved unanimously.

He said five of the eight issues raised were resolved in their favour, adding that “only one was resolved in favor of the respondents (Dapo Abiodun and APC) and the other two “The issue was resolved in a 2:1 ratio,” he added.

“We were happy to see that true justice is being achieved and hope is at hand to restore the mission of the good people of Ogun State. We are really happy and hopeful that higher levels of the judiciary are gradually considering the merits of the petition, unlike the lower courts which have chosen to address such issues.

“Obviously, such human decisions have no place within our rule of law and are unacceptable. However, it is heartwarming that the Court of Appeals resolved all issues.

“We particularly commend Justice Jane Inyang for her courage and audacity in delivering a minority judgment that was detailed and faithful to the rule of law.”
