70 percent of Nigerians live in poverty – Wole Olanipekun

Legal authority, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), has said that the majority of Nigerians currently live in poverty, stressing that over 70% of the population lives below the poverty level. .

Olanipekun spoke in his hometown, Ikere Ekiti.

The lawyer pointed out that among many people there is tension, agitation, anxiety, pressure, confusion, hatred, anguish, pain, suffering, and metastatic aggression.

He said the situation in Nigeria has become even more difficult, coupled with the burden of insecurity it has been facing for more than a decade.

“The level of poverty in Nigeria today is not only frightening but frightening as over 70% of Nigerians are rudderless and living in poverty,” he said.
