25-year-old man arrested in Bauchi after stealing car from Kaduna mosque
The Bauchi State Police Command has introduced that its operatives have arrested a 25-year-old man who stole a car throughout night prayers at a mosque in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Spokesman of the navy command, Ahmed Wakil, stated in an announcement on Wednesday night time that the suspects have been arrested alongside the Jos-Bauchi street throughout a cease and search train following a report of a stolen car.
Wakil stated: “On November 28, 2023, investigators hooked up to Tilden Fulani Police Branch Headquarters intercepted the car after receiving dependable details about the car. It was a pink Toyota Vibe model with registration quantity MRR 227 AA. The car was reported stolen on November 24, 2023 from a mosque compound in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
“The car was stolen when the proprietor parked it at a mosque to look at sundown prayers. “Upon receiving the report, operatives hooked up to the division led by the divisional police officer, in Bauchi State and Plateau Intensified cease and search operations on interstate highways. The suspect was unfortunate and the car and suspect have been captured alongside the freeway.
“The suspect is subsequently recognized as Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, 25 years previous, a local of Unguwan Gyadi Gyadi Kano State and a resident of Gwarinpa, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
During the preliminary investigation, the suspect admitted that he stole the car from the premises of a mosque in Zaria-Kaduna State. The car was completely searched and paperwork referring to the car have been recovered as nicely,” he stated.
The Commissioner of Police, Awwal Musa Mohammed psc, directed that the suspect be transferred to Kaduna State for additional crucial motion.
