Cross River state authorities has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Ugaga, Igbekurekor, Benekaba and Ijama communities in Yala Local Government Area of the state. The curfew was insituted by Governor Bassey Otu to curb additional lack of lives and properties following clashes between the four communities, and to allow safety businesses to take care of the state of affairs. Otu’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Ogbeche stated in an announcement;  The curfew is critical following land and boundary disputes which have resulted in safety threats resulting in wanton destruction of lives and properties.I hereby impose a dusk-to-dawn curfew in Ugaga and Igbekurekor communities of Yala Local Government Area, in addition to in Benekaba and Ujama.The curfew is to allow safety businesses to deal decisively with the state of affairs within the affected communities and restore normalcy. Otu directed the State Emergency Management Agency to work out quick intervention by way of reduction supplies for victims of the disaster. The submit Cross River imposes curfew on four communities after deadly clashes appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
