The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday, May 16, arraigned Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, earlier than Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of a Magistrates courtroom sitting in Yaba, Lagos State on a one- depend cost of assault on a police officer. The police prosecutor, S. A Adebese, informed the courtroom that it’s an offense opposite to Section 356 of the Nigerian (*21*) Code Act and requested the courtroom to grant an order for the police to remand the musician for 21 days pending authorized recommendation from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. However, Seun’s counsel led by Femi Falana, SAN, begged the courtroom to not grant the remand order.
