A 24-year-old Islamic teacher, Mosediq Toheeb, has been remanded after being arraigned earlier than a Yaba Chief Magistrates Court for allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old pupil at a Quranic faculty. The defendant was arraigned on two counts of sexual violation most popular in opposition to him by the state police command. Magistrate Nwaka who did not take the plea of the defendant, ordered that he should be remanded. The judge said there’s no document before the court to show that the defendant was a student and in his final year or about to begin an examination.
