Chidera Ejuke

Hertha Berlin are very much unlikely to sign Chidera Ejuke on a permanent deal when his loan move expires during the summer, according to berliner-kurier.de, a German football website.

Ejuke linked up with Hertha on a season-long loan deal from CSKA Moscow of Russia last summer and looked quite good in Germany but he has since been on the sidelines due to an injury.

And according to berliner-kurier.de, “The season got off to a great start but Chidera Ejuke (25) still has to worry about his future at Hertha BSC.

“It is becoming increasingly questionable whether the Nigerian winger will stay with the blue and white. The loan deal with CSKA Moscow expires in June.

“Ejuke performed well at Hertha BSC in the first half of the season. Now, he is fighting for his comeback and a new contract after a knee injury.

“This week, after his rehabilitation program, Ejuke finally wants to take the first steps outside on the lawn with individual running units. There is no talk of team training yet.”

He twisted his knee after a foul in a 7-1 friendly against USA team The Villages FC. He had to leave Florida with a ligament injury.

At first, everyone had hoped that Ejuke would only be out for three weeks. It’s been two months now. Comeback maybe at the end of April. But what happens after the end of the season is completely open.
