Voting started early at several Polling Units (PUs) in Oyo State on Saturday as residents came out en masse to vote for their preferred governorship and house of assembly candidates.

Naija News understands that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials arrived at the PUs in the early hours of today. According to reports, the turnouts of electorates were encouraging.

Electorates at IDC Primary Olunloyo, Ona-Ara Local Government were all ready to vote as they came out in large numbers at school houses Ward 8, PU 6, 7 and 8 in the local government area.

There was an encouraging turnout and also early commencement of the voting exercise at Ward 2, Unit 13, Ibadan South-East Local Government Area of Oyo State.
