2023 AFCON: Peseiro to submit provisional list of Super Eagles on December 14th

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peceiro is expected to submit a tentative list of 55 players for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on December 14 at the latest.

According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Nigeria and the other 23 participating countries are required to submit a provisional list on the above date.

CAF also decided that all participating countries will be able to name up to 27 players in their squad for the 2023 AFCON finals, instead of the usual 23.

The final roster is expected to be submitted by January 3, 2024.

The Super Eagles will face Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

The contest will be held from January 13th to February 11th, 2024.
